Dismissing reports that certain successful projects of the Homoeopathy Departmentt would be wound up from the upcoming fiscal onwards, Director of Homoeopathy Dr K Jamuna has said that all such projects will continue unhindered.
Specialty clinical services which will function are Infertility Clinics, De-addiction Centres, Mother and Child Programme. Ayush Holistic Centres, Floating Dispensary, Sithalayam, Adolescent Healthcare Programme, Communicable Disease Management Programme, Ayushman Bhava will function in 2014-15.
The contract appointment on Seethlayam and other projects are done with plan fund of State Govt. This was sanctioned for only one year in 2010-11 as it was against the rules to give wages with plan fund.
But department of Homeopathy, Govt. of Kerala succeed to maintain the status for 3 years. But in 2013-14 Govt. of Kerala strictly directed the department to conduct all the programme through the existing regular staff. So the staff are redeployed.
There is no reduction of funds in 2013-14& 2014-15 as both are 14.5 crores. Under the current Director of Homeopathy Dr Jamuna , department started 135 dispensaries, first pain& palliative hospital, 29 SCP health centre and after 29 years department is starting two ten bedded hospitals at Aaralam-Kannur & Kuttipuram- Malappuram.
