The 21st Asia Pacific Cancer Conference 2011 (APCC) Organising Committee would like to cordially invite you to participate in this prestigious event, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 10 –12 November 2011. The conference is organised by Malaysian Oncological Society and is supported by The Asian and Pacific Federation of Organization for Cancer Research and Control (APFOCC).
The theme of this APCC is “The Science and Strategy of Cancer Control” in keeping with the rapid advances in cancer care throughout the world. The 3 day scientific program has been designed to cover the breadth of oncology from cancer epidemiology and prevention, to cancer treatment and palliative care. It will also cover the length of these themes from molecular biology and genetics, to targeted therapies, high technology radiotherapy and imaging. Nine cancer themes will be discussed during the meeting namely head & neck, breast, lung, genito-urinary, upper gastro-intestinal, colorectal, epidemiology, cancer pain and palliative care.
The program is a very interesting mix of plenary lectures, thematic lectures, debates and expert discussions. The invited speakers include internationally recognised named such as Matti Aapro, Paul Cornes, Judith MacKay, Kian Ang, and well known regional figures from the region. Several workshops and free papers session will be held concurrently to allow sharing of the Asian experience. Workgroups with representation from member countries, will be held throughout the meeting and at the end of the each day, there will be a concensus statement on various important cancer sites. This diverse program, speaker profile and experience from Europe and Asia, will provide an exciting, stimulating and informative to greatly enrich the participant’s knowledge and exposure. Participants will take back practical knowledge for everyday use and at the same time, advanced ideas for the future.

The scientific programme will consist of plenary sessions,concurrent sessions, lunch symposia, free paper sessions,poster sessions, working group sessions and debates.We have a varied, interesting scientifically based programme.The scientific programme is divided into 11 themes:
