Ayush scholarship scheme for medical students of India, Malaysia and BIMSTEC Countries

Govt.of India through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has been offering scholarships to pursue Ayush courses in India.

Total number of scholarships : 30(India) + 20(International coorperation scheme) + 20(Malasian students)

Last date of application : July 15, 2015

Scholarships are provided for the following courses:

Under Graduate Courses:

• BAMS -5 1/2 year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (Eligibility – 12 years of schooling with science subjects)
• BSMS -5 1/2 year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (Eligibility – 12 years of schooling with science subjects)
• BUMS -5 1/2 year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (Eligibility – 12 years of schooling with science subjects)
• BHMS – 5 1/2 year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (Eligibility – 12 years of schooling with science subjects)
• BSc in Yoga – 3year course (Eligibility – 12 years of schooling)

Post Graduate Courses:

• MD Ayurveda – 3year course, BAMS recognised by CCIM
• MD Sidha – 3year course, BSMS recognised by CCIM
• MD Unani – 3year course, BUMS recognised by CCIM
• MD Homeopathy -3year course, BHMS recognised by CCH

Ph.D Courses:

• Ph.D in Ayurveda
• No candidates should be nominated for MBBS/BDS and courses related to medicine.

Financial terms and conditions of the scholarship

Undergratuate & Diploma – 8000/- PM

MD

• 1st year – 15800+DA
• 2nd year – 16950+DA
• 3rd year – 18080+DA 

Ph.D

• 1st year -18702+DA
• 2nd year – 19323+DA

Contingent Grant

• Undergratuate & Diploma – 4500/-pa
• Ph.D/MD/MS – 12000/-pa

House Rent Allowance

• In cities of Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad & Pune – 3500/-pm
• In other cities – 3000/-pm
• Tution fee/ other compulsory fee – as per actual
• Thesis and dissertation expenses : For Ph.D scolar – 10000/-

For MD/MS or other courses required submission of project – 7000/-

Family Allowance – 10000/- pm
