Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader has said that necessary steps would be taken to fill 100 posts of lecturers and 83 posts of doctors in the Ayush department.
Addressing a press conference in the City on Wednesday, the minister said the finance department had cleared the proposal sent by the Ayush department and that the dates for the exams to be conducted by the KPSC would be announced soon.
Khader said several challenges had been noted in the implementation of health schemes. He said a video-conferencing with all the district health officers had been planned on March 1 to understand the shortcomings in the implementation of all the health schemes.
The minister also gave the details of a two-day Global Wellness Meet organised by the Ayush department from February 26 to 28 in Palace Grounds.
In a bid to educate the people about ayurveda, unani, yoga, siddha, homoeopathy and naturopathy medicine, over 300 stalls will be set up during the global meet. Six sessions, including the job opportunities in integrated medicine, Ayush in rural areas, Ayush in medical tourism and other topics, have been planned, the minister said.
