Major amendments in the Homoeopathy regulations in 2018
1. Aadhar based geolocation enabled attendance system in homoeopathy medical colleges
As per order dated 16/02/2018 – a committee has been setup for immediate implementation of Aadhar based geo-location enabled attendance system for all teaching, non-teaching staff, hospital staff and PG students of all Homoeopathy Colleges across India. The implementation should be completed by 15th March 2018
Only those colleges who achieve 75% attendance of teaching staff and PG students shall be considered for permission/recognition.
2. New schedule for receipt of applications from Homoeopathy Colleges
The application under section 12A/13A should be received from 1st July t0 31st August of any year. All eligible applications will be forwarded to CCH by 30th September and recommendations of CCH for issuing LOP/Denial should reach to Ministry by 31st March. The final decision of the Ministry will be given within 31st May. The council should inspect the colleges within the stipulated time.
3. All UG admission through NEET only
For all systems of AYUSH undergraduate admission through National Eligibility Entrance Test only.

4. PG admission/ Exit Exam through NEET only
All Ayush postgraduate admissions and Exit Exams are through All India NEET only.

5. Exemption to colleges with high score in NEET PG
“Colleges shall be exempted from obtaining permission from Central Government for one year if 70% of the UG students of the previous batch qualify in PG NEET/Exit exam” – this is definitely a good decision by the Ministry of Ayush to improve the quality of Homoeopathy education – rather than quantity. This may reduce the burden of CCH inspection-related matters.
6. Teachers eligibility test
AYUSH national teachers eligibility test to be conducted for all teachers in Ayush institutions and a unique verification code for such teachers shall be allowed by CCH before the appointment.
For existing teachers at the level of lecturer, this test will be mandatory for promoting to Reader.
