As per the Ayush Ministry’s earlier order, the inspection should be complete by 31st March of every year. This year ministry not yet given permission to the council to initiate inspection procedure up to this time.
The Outcome
1. NEET UG and AIAPGET will be completed soon, as of last year, homoeopathy admissions across the country will be delayed unnecessarily in 2018 also.
2. OR Ministry may give exemptions to the colleges already satisfied/permitted in 2017 for one more year and directs CCH to inspect 60 colleges of which permission denied in 2017.
From 2012 onwards- CCH has no power- everything should be sanctioned/decided by Ministry.
Dr Lalit Verma retired from the post of CCH secretary in September 2017. Notification for the new secretary post not yet initiated even after seven months by the Ministry. As per existing norms, a diploma is a basic qualification for that post. Ministry intends to upgrade the qualification, but not yet finalised anything.
Even though council designed syllabus for new pg courses years back – Ministry not yet given node.
Decision to appoint a non-IAS person as Ayush secretary also created exasperation among the officials in the ministry that intern lead to stagnation and joint decisions in the department of Ayush.
