Abstract
The Homeopathic Remedy Tarentula belongs to the species of wolf – spider, lycosa belonging to the phylum arthropod and class Arachnida. It is common in Italy, Spain and in southern part of Europe. The venomous nature of the Tarentula has an unusual history. It received its name from the town Tarento, from where every year it migrates to the other parts.This European Spider is known to have caused a phenomenon called “Tarantism” – Tarantism refers to a hysterical condition characterised by extreme impulse to dance (dancing mania) especially prevalent in Southern Italy from 15th to 17th century and was widely believed to be caused by the bite of Tarantula. The first case of tarentism was reported in 1370. The symptoms appeared in every part of body varing from pain and swelling to palpitation and vomiting with delirium followed by melancholia, depression and ending in death. Tarantula Hispanica was proven by Nunez he conducted the proving and collected the information on the effects of poison and its use in homeopathy knows no bounds. The article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the drug.

Introduction
Tarentula belongs to the family Arachinade, The term “Archinade” has its own origin from the Arachane. Arachane was a weaver who acquired such skill that she decided to challenge goddess Athena. Furious with the perfectionism of Arachane’s work, Athena tore it apart and out of despair Arachane hangs herself the goddess out of pity loosens the ropes which became a cobweb and Arachane herself was changed into a spider hence we get the name of the zoological class Arachnida.
The venom of this poison is toxic to humans.After this spider bite, the victim sings and dances, with extravagant behaviour, and complete loss of control and is only to be cured again and again by music and dancing. The cases brought about some cardinal features of Tarentula 1) Dark red or purplish discolouration and swelling of skin and tissue 2) Apparent imminent choking 3) Choreic Movements, Restlessness 4) Better by music, music at first excites and later relieves 5) Periodicity, deep action returning annually on the date of the bite.
UNDERSTANDING THE MIND OF TARENTULA HISPANIC
The characteristic feature of Tarentula is the feeling of Unreciprocated Love or Affection . The person does not feel that he is attractive enough and therefore does not get attention he craves for. So, we see Tarentula wearing bright coloured clothes, singing, dancing as in a discotheque. Also it includes mischievousness, cunning,hysterical behavior, lasciviousness, shamelessness, exposing himself and even threatening all with intention to attract attention.
Another prominent features of Tarentula is intense anxiety states and fear of being trapped in attacks of suffocation, must have fresh air. There is sudden alteration of mood, destructive impulses, and moral relaxation. Must constantly busy herself or walk. Averse to company but wants someone present. The restless hands of Tarentula are often put to creative use,as in painting, which involves colours as well.
Ungrateful,discontented and is guided by whims. Aversion to colours such as Black, Red, Yellow, Green. Dances up and down. Fits of nervous laughter followed by screaming. Suddenly changing of mood, fancies or strength. Lacks control, Erratic, Impulsive, Cunning, Selfish, Hateful.
Throws things in anger. Malingering; when there are no observers, there is no hysteria, when attention is directed to her, she begins to twitch,feigns fainting, insensibility but looks sideways to observe the effects of those around her. Laughs, mocks, runs, dances, gesticulate, jokes, cries, sings till hoarse or exhausted. Angry despair, death agony, melancholy.
See ghosts, faces, flashes. HURRY; EVERYBODY MUST HURRY. Moaning when contraindicated. Insanity threatens destruction and death. Abrupt. Anger when touched. Sees faces when closing eyes, diabolic faces crowd upon him. DESTRUCTIVENESS OF CLOTHES, DISOBEDIENCE REFUSAL TO EAT. Excitement during menses. Kleptomania.

UNDERSTANDING THE PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS OF TARENTULA
Remarkable nervous phenomenon; hysteria and chlorosis, chorea; dysmenorrhea, spinal irritation. Bladder Tenesmus with sensation of constriction. EXTREME RESTLESSNESS especially in the lower limb; must keep in constant motion. Intense sexual excitement. Extreme gaiety
It affects the NERVES; HEART; spine ; RESPIRATION and right side are also prominently affected. Symptoms appear suddenly with VIOLENCE. Rolls on ground from side to side, kicks feet, or roll the head and rubs it in to relieve stress.
Violent pains NEURALGIA as if thousand needles were pricking him. Emaciation. Can run faster than he can walk. Choreic affections were the right arm and left leg are principally affected. Termini of nerves become so irritated and sensitive that some kind of friction is necessary to obtain relieve.
It seems as if a living body were moving or tingling in the stomach, with tendency to ascend to the throat.
Craving for sand or raw food; highly seasoned food; salty things.
Aversion to meat and bread.

Worse: Periodically; yearly; at the same hour. TOUCH. Cold, noise, damp. Evening. After Menses. Coition. Washing head. Seeing others in trouble. Hands in cold water. Music. Touch of the affected part
Better- Relaxation. Rubbing, Sweating. Smoking, Music. Open in the air. Riding in a carriage. In the sun. Bright Colours. Messaging the affected parts. Riding in horseback.
Conclusion
ardinal features of Tarentula include dark red, or purplish swelling of skin and tissues, choreic movements, restlessness and hysteria. Tarentula as a remedy is for people who are extremely cunning with sudden changes of mood in which the patient will strike themselves, tear and destroy things. Sudden violent or sly destructive movements are unique to this drug.
The sphere of action of this drug is on Nerves, Heart, Respiration, Mind. The drug also works in cases of deep sepsis. Ill effects arising from unrequited love, bad news, scolding, falls and punishment. Tarentula is also a great drug for the pediatric age group where restlessness mental and physical are predominant especially in cases of neurodevelopmental disorder like Autism and ADHD.
