Abstract
Cholelithiasis formation is the most common disorder of the biliary tree. The stones can be asymptomatic or symptomatic, only gallstones with symptoms or complications are defined as gallstones disease.
Gallstones are divided into two types of composition – CHOLESTEROL and PIGMENT.
Pigment composition can be Black pigment(Hemolysis) and Brown pigment(bacterial or parasitic infection).

Sex – Female 15% & Male 7%
AGE:- 18-65 Years
Obesity, Physical inactivity, Over-nutrition, Metabolic syndrome
- GENETIC RISK:- Common mutations in the hepatic cholesterol transporter ABCG8 confer most of the genetic risk. Approx. 25% of total risk.
The case of cholelithiasis has been treated via homoeopathic medicines, followed homoeopathic principles.
CASE SUMMARY
This is the case of A 30 year women diagnosed with cholelithiasis. This case presented here is documented by Swasthya Kalyan Homoeopathic College And Research Centre at Jaipur, Rajasthan. The patient was treated with individualized homoeopathic medicine over a period of 9 months. There was a significant cure with homoeopathic medicines, with complete disappearance of a cholelithiasis without any recurrence.

INTRODUCTION
Cholelithiasis literally means “GALLSTONES ( Stones in gallbladder )”. Most common disorder of the biliary tree. The role of diet in cholesterol gallstones disease, an increase in dietary cholesterol , fat , total calories and refined carbohydrates or lack of dietary fibre has been implicated.
PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Gallstones are conventionally classified into cholesterol stones and pigment stones, the majority are of mixed composition. Pigment stones may be Brown or Black pigment composition. Here, Brown pigment caused by obstruction & infected in bile duct. Black pigment caused by chronic hemolysis.
Gallstones containing various quantities of calcium salts – Calcium bilirubinate, Carbonate, Phosphate , Palmitate .
CLINICAL FEATURES
- Asymptomatic
- Acute cholelithiasis
- Chronic cholelithiasis
- Biliary colic accompanied by nausea and vomiting also called GALLBLADDER ATTACK.
- First sign of gallstones- biliary colic, abdominal pain – Right upper quadrant extended to shoulder blade, episodes last for one to several hours after meals.
- Occasional episodes of biliary colic – Gallstones causing partial blockage.
- Constant pain, fever, chills, heart rate acceleration.
- In some condition, bile accumulating with blood stream – causing Jaundice, Sunken Eyes, Dark colored pee.
CASE RECORD
Mrs. XYZ, 30 year old women came with a complaint of gallstones (cholelithiasis).
HISTORY
A 30 Year old women reported with gallstones in the OPD of Swasthya Kalyan Homoeopathic College and Research Centre at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. She presented with severe pain at right upper quadrant which extended to the shoulder blade. Her nature reported mild, gentle and highly emotional. She was extroverted and more talkative. She makes friends, contacts and established relationship easily. She was sympathetic, very sensitive to the sufferings and very much caring of others.
Her thermal reaction was HOT.
Desire of fatty foods and spices. She is lean thin 5 feet 4 inches women having fair complexion of skin. There was no family history of gallstones in the family. At clinic she was intelligent, very calm , gentle & speaked up politely.
Following characteristics symptoms were considered for reperterisation :
Affectionate, sympathetic, desire company & abdominal pain ( right upper quadrant) mildness.
Repertorisation process done by using synthesis repertory and the reportorial result is shown in table;
INTERVENTION
First prescription : On 15 jan 2022, PULSATILLA NIGRIGANS 200C\1Dose\Stat.
Prescription : Medicine selected on the basis of indidualisation, totality of symptoms and followed Materia Medica was Pulsatilla. Furthermore, pulsatilla was chosen as it covers the totality of symptoms and the patient thermal reaction was hot. Puls 200c \1D\stat, was prescribed.
