ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
(Prof.) Dr. Asok Kumar Das, A Gold Medalist of Calcutta University with honours in five subjects and recipient of Dr. N. K. Banerjee, Dr. K.M. Banerjee, Dr. N.C. Chakraborty, and Dr. B.K. Chatterjee Research award, Dr. Das has been honored with World Health Organization Fellowship 1997 on Cancer. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Calcutta and MD (Hom.) from Rajasthan University. Dr. Das served as a faculty member at the National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, and a member of the Editorial Board for the publication of different books by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Govt. of India. He was the first person to receive grant funding under an extra-mural research project from the Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India for studying the effects of chronic arsenic toxicity on human health and efficacy of homeopathic treatment in such health problems, on the basis of which he received his doctorate degree.
