e-learning Course in Public Health Management
The course aims to introduce the participants to the Indian public health system including the current national health programmes. It further aims at teaching essential management skills required to be a good public health manager.
ePHM course is one of its kind public health course in India. Catering to both novices and mid-level public health professionals, it helps one look at the Indian public health through a systems thinking lens. It covers a range of topics including key management concepts and also helps the participants garner skills needed to become better health managers
Scholarship
Scholarships are available for deserving candidates
The concepts covered in this course are divided into two levels- basic and advanced; the participants have the choice to complete the level they want and will be awarded a certificate accordingly.
The ePHM course is a tutor guided online course and the medium of instruction is English.
Course syllabus
The course consists of 8 modules, all of which are compulsory. Each module spans over a period of three weeks. The minimum student investment time of 3-4 hours per week is expected for successful completion of each module.
Recommended Background
Persons interested in public health management, people working in NGOs, staff of rural health/hospitals, Health program managers, doctors and health workers. This course is not a replacement for a full time Masters in Public Health. However it can supplement ongoing bachelors and masters courses in health and allied disciplines.
