Ayush doctors under National Rural Health Mission submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik through the District Collector on Tuesday demanding regularisation of their jobs bringing in parity with allopathy doctors.
The memorandum stated that Public Health Centres and Community Health Centres are established in the State are being manned by the Ayush doctors since 2005 to improve the health network. They stated that they play a crucial role in implementing various health schemes.
Pointing out the discrepancies among other doctors and Ayush doctors in matters of salary, cadre, facilities and scope, they stated that they are exploited at all levels.
Demanding that they be provided a conducive atmosphere to work which can improve their efficiency, they urged the Chief Minister to regularise their job and ensure them job security.[Source]
