CCH wants to cancel registration of homoeopaths who practise allopathy

cch-2Vadodara: The Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) has asked all its state councils in the country to cancel registration of homoeopaths who practise allopathy.

“The CCH had issued a notice stating that Homoeopathic Practitioners (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Code of Ethics) Regulations, 1982, have been amended as notified in the official gazette dated July 12, 2014, which is required to be strictly adhered to by all registered practitioners under HCC Act of 1973,” CCH President Dr Ramjee Singh told PTI  today on the sidelines of a national seminar on homoeopathy held in the city.

The CCH has also issued a notice to its registered practitioners asking them to practice homoeopathy and use drugs prepared as per homoeopathic principles, he said.

Singh also said that CCH teams will conduct surprise visits at all 188 homoeopathy medical colleges in the country before giving them accreditation for next academic year beginning from June 2015.

This is a part of an annual exercise of inspection before giving accreditation letters to the colleges.

“The accreditation of homoeopathic colleges has been made compulsory from last one year,” Singh said.

“In fact, the Union Health Ministry wanted to implement the Minimum Standard Education Requirement (MSER), jointly prepared by CCH and the Ministry, in all the colleges from academic year 2014-15, but could not do so due to some practical difficulties,” he said.

Earlier, 121 homoeopathic colleges, including 36 run by state governments, were not found fit for accreditation as they failed to meet the requirements for it. These colleges were granted amnesty by the Union Health Ministry and allowed to admit new students from academic year 2014-15, he said.

Now, its implementation will begin from the new academic year beginning June 2015, he said.

“If the colleges fail to rectify the deficiencies, they will face serious consequences, including derecognition,” Singh cautioned.

He also stressed the need to regulate the functioning of homoeopathic colleges in the country and standardising its education with a syllabus prescribed by the CCH

  1. I appreciate to cch view, but 1st you should learn NRHM about the work of homeopathic doctors. in NRHM ayush doctors are bound to do deliveries at chc/phc, Nrhm giving allopathic medicine to the ayush doctors at MHU/RBSk , giving training them regarding various programs which are not related to homeopathic medicine, (like leprosy training, immunization training etc which have only diagnostic value which are not required in homoeopathy as homoeopathy treats the patient symptomatically, diagnosis is not required,)
I’m agree with Dr. Arvind Dubey’s discussion
In Practice if You r not allowed to cut the skin then why dissection, why MTP act,Why Practice of Medicine which include clinical features, diagnosis,Prognosis,Differential diagnosis, investigations and even allopathic managment many more which is not related to Homoeopathy.

    • Coz we need to understand the humany body first. If u don’t knw the abcd of immunization hw r u gng to distinguish between drug induced symptom n disease symptoms. Instead of arguing. We shud work on hw we can make good homeopaths. Learnd established physicians shuld teach thm with minimum fee so that students r nt burdened after paying hefty amnt for bhms for the growth of homoeopathy.

  2. Dr.dubay..anyone who willingly taking admission in homoeoathy they fully understand that they have to practice homoeopathy ..then why they are creating a byepass rout to do allopathic practice..
if u have talent then leave homeopathy and take admission in MBBS..then u do what u want..

  3. Follow organon of medicine, Dr Hahnemann clearly defines Mission of an Homoeopath, and writes 290 aphorism showing the way to achieve them scientifically

  4. I endorse the views of Dr Prasad, a check on patents would be a VITAL decision.IT WOULD PURIFY the system.
