A framework for registration and licensing of Complementary& Alternative Medicine (CAM) through Healthcare Practitioners Registration & Licensing Department is under development.
They already decided to permit Ayurveda and other Chinese medicines – Homoeopathy is yet to be cleared .
The Healthcare Practitioners Registration & Licensing Department in Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) regulates the healthcare work in the governmental and private sectors, such as the registration and licensing of those healthcare practitioners who wish to work in the healthcare sectors in the State of Qatar with the objective of upgrading levels of targeted healthcare services in order to maintain the health of visitors and patients of these sectors, and to adopt unified policies approved by QCHP, regardless of the certificate’s origin or the applicant’s home country.
