Abstract:
Warts are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths that can appear on numerous body areas and have many distinct forms. They are brought on by viruses. The majority of people will have a wart at some point in their lives, and they are highly contagious. Warts are most frequent in children and teenagers, but they can afflict people of any age. 2
Warts are primarily caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) but it can also be caused by direct contact and because of weakened immune system.
Warts are usually treated in allopathic medicine by removing or destroying the wart tissue using a variety of techniques whereas in homoeopathy rather than destroying or removing, can provide a true cure for the illness utilizing a constitutional Similimum medicine.
Key Words : Warts, HPV, Homoeopathy, Cure
INTRODUCTION:
Warts are extremely common and are caused by the DNA human papilloma virus (HPV). There are over 90 subtypes, based on DNA sequence analysis, causing different clinical presentations. Transmission is by direct virus contact, in living or shed skin, and is encouraged by trauma and moisture (e.g. swimming pools).1
Symptoms:
The majority of warts don’t produce any uncomfortable symptoms. Some could make you feel tight, itchy, or under strain and pain Warts, especially those on the soles of your feet, can also hurt. Certain warts feature tiny, black or brownish specks that are the result of clotted blood seeping from the skin’s capillaries, which are extremely tiny blood vessels.
Common warts begin as smooth, skin-colored papules before becoming “warty” and hyper-keratotic. Although they can appear on the face, genitalia, and limbs, they are most frequently found on the hands. Plantar warts, also known as verrucae, are unpleasant when walking and have a horny ring and a slightly projecting rough surface. Capillary loops that differentiate plantar warts from corns are visible upon paring.
Other varieties of wart include:
Verruca vulgaris or common warts: Usually seen on the hands and fingers, these are rough, elevated growths. They are frequently brown or grayish in color and have a rough surface.
Plantar Warts: These warts, which are located on the soles of the feet, can hurt, especially while walking, since they press inward from the pressure of standing or moving.
Flat Warts: Usually found on the arms, legs, or face, these warts are smoother and smaller than regular ones.
Filiform warts – Long, thread-like warts called filiform warts are frequently found on the face, particularly in the areas surrounding the mouth, nose, and eyelids.
Common Treatment for Warts:
- Salicylic acid- It is the most popular over-the-counter remedy. It functions by progressively softening the wart to allow for its removal. It comes in patches, gels, and liquids.
- Cryotherapy Kits- With cryotherapy kits, you can treat the wart at home using liquid nitrogen. The wart eventually falls off as a result of freezing.
- Laser Treatment- The blood vessels supplying the wart are destroyed using a laser. It is frequently applied on warts that are challenging to cure using other techniques.
- Electrosurgery and Curettage: With this technique, the wart is first burned with an electric current (electrosurgery) and then scraped off using a sharp object (curettage). This is usually applied on warts that are big or resistant.
- Minor Surgery: The wart might need to be surgically removed. Usually, this is done after all other options have been exhausted.
Epidemiology
Warts are extremely prevalent, particularly in kids and teens. Up to 33% of kids and teens have warts, according to several studies. In adults, the prevalence is believed to be between 3 and 5 percent.

The mental general, physical general and particular general symptomatologies were well covered by this remedy. Hence, the most appropriate remedy for this case was “Nitric Acid”
Basis of Prescription
Nitric acid 200 was prescribed on the basis of reportorial totality as it was most similar to the case.
Prescription: Nitric Acid 200 / Bd/ 3 Days followed By Placebo for 1 week.
28/11/2024 | Patient feels better, Warts reduced in size. | Placebo / BD / 10 days |
10/12/2024 | Patients feels better and the warts is removed completely. | Placebo / BD/ 10 Days |

Discussion:
In this case the patient received the medicine which was selected on the basis of individualization and the medicine was successful in cure causing removal of the wart and also relieved the associated symptoms.
Conclusion:
Modern medicine is relatively unsuccessful in treating warts without mechanically removing it or destroying it. Warts can easily cured with homoeopathy by individualistic approach. This case study demonstrate the efficacy of homeopathic treatment in resolving warts in a 10 year old male child after a thorough case analysis, nitric acid was selected as the similimum the patient showed significant improvement within a short period of treatment, with complete resolution of the warts.
