Hair loss among young adults aged 18-30 years-a survey study

Abstract
Background: Baldness is the partial or complete lack of hair growth, and part of the wider topic of “hair thinning”. The degree and pattern of baldness varies, but i hair loss (alopecia) is a fairly common occurrence. While it’s more prevalent in older adults, anyone can experience it, including children.

It’s typical to lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). With about 100,000 hairs on your head, that small loss isn’t noticeable. New hair normally replaces the lost hair, but this doesn’t always happen.

Objective: The objective of our study is to estimate the hair loss of age group between 18-30years.

Methods:A Observational survey study including100 purposive sampling of both sexes was evaluated by using google forms.

Result: It was observed that out of 100 sample, that students of 22-25 years (58.4 %) were more procrastinated than 18-21 years and  26-30 years ( 33%). On an average 58.4% of people have effects of hair loss.

Conclusion :  In this module, we discussed the normal experience of hair loss in age group between 18-30 years..This study has made an effort to find out the level of hair loss. The result showed that majority were having moderate form of hair loss. Nutritional deficiency is a common problem in participants with hair loss. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn’t replace the hair that has fallen. Hair loss is typically related to one or more of the following factors: Family history (heredity). The most common cause of hair loss is a hereditary condition that happens with aging.
