Delhi government is committed to give special emphasis to the promotion and development of AYUSH, the country’s traditional methods of medicines expressed Satyendar Jain, Delhi’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday in the city. Jain was speaking in a symposium on dengue and homeopathy, jointly organised by the Board of Homeopathic System of Medicine and Delhi Homeopathic Federation at Pearey Lal Bhawan yesterday on the occasion of 261st birth anniversary of Dr Hahnemann, founding father of homeopathy. “Homeopathic system of medicine is capable of healing most of the diseases of the time. Delhi has been facing a dengue problem, if homeopathy comes up with any permanent solution for the prevention of dengue it would be a great help to humanity,” said Jain.
He further added that in order to make homeopathic system more popular, the government will focus to provide more fund and attention to its AYUSH programme,” he added. In the Penal discussion on Prevention & treatment of Dengue Fever in Homoeopathy Experts were Dr.R.K.Manchanda, Director Gen. CCRH, Dr.Vishal Chaddha,Sr.Medical Officer, Delhi Govt., Dr.A.K.Gupta, Director, AKGsOVIHAMS Homoeopathic Clinics, Dr.Vinod Sangwan , Member CCH, Dr.Deb Datta Nayak, Scientist CCRH, Dr. H P Sharma, Member Haryana Board, Dr.Naval Kumar and Dr.R.C. Aggarwal were of the view that Homoeoathy has a large scope in both, effective prevention and treatment of Dengue fever, thereby reducing the disease burden in the country ,and, tangentially, also reducing the overall cost of preventive programmes carried out by the central and state governments every year during the wave of dengue epidemic in the country. It was mentioned that CCRH ran a preventive trial in the first ever reported worst year of dengue epidemic in India, 1996, and the results were reassuring. “Homeopathy is very effective in cases of dengue. We have both types of treatment- preventive and curative,” said Dr A K Gupta, President- Homoeopathic Medical Association of India (HMAI).
Very colourful and enjoyable Cultural programme was presented by the College students of NHMC, Bakson’s, College and for the first time Jai Kisan Homoeopathic College Rohtak also participated in the function.
