ABSTRACT: A case of 46 years old male with right ureteric calculus of size 15.9mm with gross hydronephrosis and hydroureter after homoeopathic treatment shows normal ultrasonography.

INTRODUCTION: Urinary tract stones (urolithiasis) are one of the most common diseases of the urinary tract. The stones are mainly composed of calcium salts, uric acid, cysteine and struvite. Calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate are the most common types accounting for more than 80% of stones, followed by uric acid(8-10%) and cysteine, struvite in remainders.
Case Study:
Right ureteric calculus: A 49 years old male presented with recurrent pain in right lumber region extending downward. He also complained of frequent urination with blood in urine and severe pain after micturition. Ultrasound report shows right kidney hydronephrosis and hydroureter due to midureteric calculus of 15.4 mm (See Figure 1).
History of present complaint: Recurrent pain in right lumber region extending downward towards the groin with heavy sensation since last one and half months. He also complained of blood with urine since three weeks after urination.
Past History: Right renal calculus (8.2mm) in 2004 and lithotripsy was done.
