IIT Madras & Farook College Organize NPTEL Awareness Workshop on 1 September 2018
NPTEL is a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), that provides e -learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Management and Humanities. This is a joint initiative by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. Other selected premier institutions also act as Associate Partner Institutions.
NPTEL is one of the national coordinators of Ministry of HRD’s prestigious Study Webs of Active – Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) programme. All courses offered by NPTEL are part of SWAYAM.
Online courses offered by NPTEL provides excellent opportunities for students and faculty members to enhance their career.
The aim of NPTEL Awareness Workshops is to create maximum awareness among faculty members about NPTEL and its various initiatives. The workshop will include sessions on NPTEL and its features, NPTEL Online Certification courses and the concept of NPTEL Local Chapters.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
- Talk about what NPTEL is, the courses offered, the formats, extra features such as text transcription, video download, etc
- NPTEL open online courses – what they are, how colleges can use them, statistics, etc
- Local Chapter of NPTEL – how colleges and NPTEL can work together and interact directly
WHO CAN ATTEND
Principals, HODs and Faculty members of Arts and Science / Commerce & Management / Training / Arabic / Engineering / Medical / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy/Pharmacy / Unani / Dental / Nursing / Law Colleges.

No registration fee for the workshop.
NOTE: Travel Allowance (TA) & Workshop Kit would be provided to all the participants as per NPTEL rules and regulations. Only outstation participants are eligible for travel allowance as per NPTEL norms.
