The Centre has decided to set up 50-bed integrated AYUSH hospitals which would include Ayurveda, homoeopathy yoga and naturopathy systems, the Lok Sabha was informed by Minister.
“Developments of AYUSH educational institutions under the National Ayush Missions (NAM) provides for grants-in-aid to AYUSH educational institutions, including yoga and naturopathy institutes for infrastructure development,”
Minister of State of the Ministry of Ayurveda Shripad Yesso Naik said in a written reply. “Under the said scheme, there is a provision of grant-in-aid of Rs 3 crore for under-graduate institutions and Rs 4 crore for post-graduate institutions of AYUSH for infrastructural development,” he added.
Further, there is a provision of grants-in-aid of Rs 10.50 crore for setting up of new AYUSH educational institutions/colleges in the states where such institutions do not exist in the government sector. This grant is supplementary to the state contribution to complete the project.
