Kerala strict norms for Doctors’ trip and conferences outside Kerala
Ministry of Health and family Welfare, Govt. of Kerala revised the norms regarding the tour outside the state by the Head of the departments, Officers of Health Service Department and Medical Education department – ” shall have the prior approval of the Government is required for attending meetings, conferences, workshop, seminar et. outside the Kerala state.
Earlier Govt. Permission is required for outside India visit only.
According to Health Secretary, Dr K Elangovan – Several instances have come to the notice of the Government that there has been a tendency to sanction for tours very close to the date of event. And many times doctors are proceeding outside of the state without due approval and seeking clarification later only.
