Inaugural Session
The inaugural session of 12th October Saturday, started with a welcome speech by Dr.N.V.Sugathan, the organizing secretary of the National Homoeopathic Conference, followed by the Introductory Speech by Dr.G.P.Hahnemann, the President of the Tamilnadu Homoeopathic Medical Council, Chennai; Presidential Address By Dr.Ramjee Singh, President, Central Council of Homoeopathy, Speech by Guest of Honour Thiru.A.T.George, M.L.A. Parassala Constituency, Kerala; Special Address by Dr.C.P.Singh, Chairman, Research Society of Homoeopathy; and Dr.Anurudh Verma, Secratary, Research Society of Homoeopathy. The souvenir was released by Dr.Arun Bhasme, Vice President, Central council of Homoeoapthy which was followed by felicitations by Dr.Ravi M. Nair, Former advisor, (Homoeopathy) to Govt. Of India; Dr.Lalit Varma, Secrtatary, Central council of Homoeoapthy; Dr.T.C.P.Nambiar, Member, Tamilnadu Homoeopathy Medical Council; Dr.G.Kannan, Member, Tamilnadu Homoeopathy Medical Council.
Dr. Ramjee Singh in his presidential address praised homeopathy for making quick inroads in Indian Health sector and capturing a prominent position in the Health sector in a short time; Dr.Arun Bhasme, vice president of CCH- urged the central and state governments to take necessary steps to make homoeopathy available to all sect of people . Dr.Lalit Verma, secretary, pointed out the necessity for research in Homeopathy.
The principals and heads of various medical colleges were honoured on the occasion. They are Dr.Leelabai Rajendran, chairperson, White memorial Homeopathic Medical College, Attor; Dr.Nagarajan,principal Vinayaka Mission Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem, Dr.A sakunthala, Principal, Venkateswara Homoeopathic Medical College; Chennai; Dr.Leema Rose, Correspondent, Martin Homoeopathic Medical College; Coimbatore; Dr.C.K.Mohan , principal, Sarada Krishna Homoeoapthic Medical College; Kulasekharam; Dr.Muthuramalingam, Principal, Hahnemann Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem; Dr. Cheramannan, Principal, Sri Sairam Homoeopathic Medical College, Chennai; Dr.G.Kannan, Principal, Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem and Dr.Rufus Nathaniel, Chairman, RVS Homoeopathic Medical College, Coimbatore.
The inaugural session concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Chandrahasan.C.M., Secratary, Tamilnadu Homoeopathic Doctors Association.
The scientific sessions were conducted in 2 Halls – Dr.Koppikar Hall and Dr.V.R.Murthy Hall. On 12th and 13th the scientific sessions had around 40 papers by presenters from various states of India. The sessions on 12th Friday started with the presentation titled the success of Homoeopathy in Neurological conditions ” by Dr.S.M.Singh, a Senior Practitioner, Principal, Sainath Homoeopathic Medical college, Allahabad, the session was moderated by Dr.Aravind Kothe, Principal SKHMC, Goa; then Dr.S.K.Tiwari, former Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, on the topic “ Technique of Successful Prescribing with Cases”
Dr.K.R.Janardhanan Nair, Asst. Director, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, presented paper on the multitude of successful researches in the institute highlighting the success of Homoeopathy Institute in Kottayam. Dr.Muraleedharan presented research reports on the scope of homoeopathy in the patients with HIV infection. Dr.Sanjeev M. Lazar, paediatric practitioner from Ernakulum highlighted the triumph of homoeopathy in paediatrics cases; Dr.Shaji kumar research officer CCRH detailed the different research schemes under the Ayush, Dr.Paul Sumitran, presented cases successfully treated by homeopathy, Dr.Santha Kumar from Srilanka presented paper on successful treatment of Benign Prostate Hypertrophy with homoeopathy. Dr.Amar Bodhi, Lecturer, B.R.Sur Homoeopathic Medical College, New Delhi presented paper on recent developments in pharmaceutical industry and how to standardize homoeopathic pharmaceuticals.
There were 1500 delegates from different parts of the country and there were delegates from Srilanka too.
Stalls were set up by pharmaceuticals, Book publishers and medical software manufacturers for displaying their products at the conference venue.
A colourful and informative souvenir was released on the occasion with research papers and articles from practitioners and scholars all over India.
The programme concluded on the evening of 13th October through evaluation session by Dr.S.K.Tiwari and Dr.B.D.Patel. Dr. Anurudh Verma presented memento to the organisers, followed by vote of thanks by Dr.Winston vargheese.
