No admission in four Homoeopathic colleges in Odisha this year

studentsThere would be no admission in four Homoeopathic Medical Colleges and Hospitals in Odisha in the current academic session.

In a letter to the Health and Family Welfare department, the Central Council of Homoeopathy has made it clear that there would be no admission in four Homoeopathic Medical Colleges and Hospitals-Abhinna Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Utkalamani Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela, Biju Patnaik Homoeopathic Medical College, Brahmapur and Odisha Medical College of Homoeopathic, Sambalpur—till the time the state government fulfills adequate infrastructure requirements of these institutes.

The decision of the Council came after a team visited these medical colleges in January last year and found that there is no improvement in the infrastructure.

It may be mentioned that each of these medical colleges has a total of 25 seats while 100 Homoeopathic doctors pass every year from these institutes. [Source]

  1. why only govt colleges?? it must be on private colleges too, most of them lacking basic infrastructure, teachers are only in papers, not in colleges.salary 3000-7000/months etc

  2. It is good decision of CCH. Till now Odisha Govt is sleepingto ward Homoeopathy where as Homoeopathy been the second health industry in the World. Thanks CCH……………………………

  3. The decision is wise. Homeopathy been the second health industry in the world should be prepared to produce well trained proffesionals not half baked practitioners.
