Homoeopaths Voice Against “Unhomoeopathic” Combination and Mixture Drugs
Homoeopathic practitioners across the country have sought amendment of the Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia to stop manufacture and sale of certain drugs as homoeopathic mixtures and compounds with immediate effect.
Terming such medicines as “unhomoeopathic and against the basic principles of the founding father of the system of medicine, the doctors said, “homoeopathy believes in administration of single, simple and similar remedies on the principle of totality of symptoms as proved by Samuel Hahnemann.”
But, unfortunately, certain manufacturers had in violation of this principle started introducing sale of mixopathic drugs to push up their practice, bringing disrepute to the very system of homoeopathy in the modern era when people started migrating to this school from the so-called modern medicine.
This was one of the 10-point charter of demands presented at the just concluded 2-day XXII National Homoeopathic Congress of ‘Indian Institute of Homoeopathic Physicians’ (IIHP) held on November 5 and 6 at the India Islamic Centre, New Delhi.
No less than a veteran physician like Dr Diwan Harish Chand raised the issue as the chief guest in the inaugural session. Calling the fraternity to stick to the principles laid down by the master Dr Hahnemann, he lamented the marketing of the combination drugs on the name of Homoeopathy.
These drugs were never proved or their materia medica taught in the syllabus and sought stringent action in this regard.
About 300 delegates including veterans in the field besides director general of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy Dr.Alok Kumar participated in the biennial Congress.
Establishment of a separate university for homoeopathy bringing all the homoeopathic colleges in the country under its umbrella with uniform syllabus, stringent effective guidelines for successful approach in the department of fundamental and extra mural research, improvement of educational standards and appointment of advisors in all states were some of the other demands.

passing the resolution is not the solution but its implementation should be shown, its worthless if it takes more than a decade to to implement.
Yes you are right Dr.O.P.Singh. Now it is up to the AYUSH/Govt authorities to implement these. These are the voice of all qualified physicians in India & wherever they are in other countries.
Classical homoeopathy also underestimated by the institution where we grown up. It will prevent immediately for our new comers and also for the reputation of homoeopathy. After that we can prevent the unhomoeopathic practice by unhomoeopathi mixture.
Improving the standard of education and practical training is the most imp and urgent step, which will not only improve the quality of next gen of practitioners , most of all it will encourage and make them confident enough to practice homoeopathy..purely & not resort to doing GP!
In your latest issue, you have posted the information about the XXII National Homoeopathic Science Congress, which was hold in New Delhi .
Through this information, I have learned about the practice of some manufactures in India to sale the homoeopathic mixtures and compounds with immediate effect. To my shame ,I really do not know, what does it mean.
In my own practice I use the classical homeopathic medicines which I have been receiving from Russia.
I have some results in treatment of patients with homeopathy in KUF- series, which are products of Germany companies ,but I really do know nothing about this homeopathic medicines which are used in India.
Could you please be so kind to give a little explanation about this medicines.
Thank you very much in advance,
Yours Sincerely,
Naylya Djumaeva.
The ten point resolutions taken during the conference is highly commendable and need to be put into practice at the earliest. Homoeopathy has lots to offer to the suffering humanity, in these modern times. Raising the standards of education and practice of the system will awaken the general population towards the service of homoeopathy, which in the long run is beneficial to the people themselves. India is a popular destination for medical tourism, so lets join hands to prove that homoeopathy has lots to offer to one and all.
