After inaugurating the two-day mega AYUSH medical camp at AP NGOs Home on Thursday, he felt that more publicity was required for the Indian medicines which could cure all kinds of dreaded diseases with minimum expenditure. Mr.Saurabh Gaur promised to extend support for conducting such camps in rural areas, schools and hostels.
Srikakulam District Collector Saurabh Gaur on Thursday announced that the government had sanctioned Rs.50 lakh for construction of Ayush hospital in Srikakulam town to promote Indian systems of medicine and Homeopathy.
“People used to depend on traditional medicines in olden days to lead a healthy life. Now it is the right time to depend on Ayurvedam, unani, homomoeopathy to get permanent cure for all diseases,” he added.
Former Minister Reddy Satyanarayana, Narasannapeta MLA Dharmana Krishnadas, and MLC Peerukatla Viswaparasad lauded the government’s initiative in establishing AYUSH hospitals. Ayush Regional Director K.Murali, and Additional Director of Homoeopathy wing N.Lingaraju thanked the district administration for sanctioning land to construct a 30-bed hospital in Srikakulam town.
Camp organising committee members V. Seetamahalakshmi, K.Dhanunjay and Jagadish expressed overwhelming response from the patients for the Ayush camp. They said the doctors clarified their doubts about the Indian medicines and provided medicines for their diseases.
Arrangements were made to meet the rush of patients on Friday on the same premises.[Source]
