Why Homoeopathy Council is not starting new PG courses?
Dr Mansoor Ali
We have PG only in seven specialities out of which Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Practice Medicine are available mainly in private Homeopathy Colleges. No Postgraduate diploma courses so far.
Dental Stream
They have nine Specialities form a simple tooth only
Ayurveda
They have 13 postgraduate Ayurved courses – including MS and three specialities in Anatomy itself. They will start postgraduate diploma courses in many specialities soon. Even MS courses available in Unani too
Allopathy
They have PG in 73 specialities and hundreds of postgraduate diploma courses approved by MCI
Homoeopathy is standing behind all pathies, because of lack of vision and commitment of our council !!
CCH finalised and published the syllabus for the following subjects in 2013 itself, but not yet started up to this time
- Community Medicine
- Pathology
- Anatomy
- Forensic Medicine
- Physiology
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Why not in Surgery, FMT, Geriatrics, Cosmetology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Respiratory medicines, Ophthalmology, Pain and palliative care etc… In these subjects Ayurvedic and Unani people have MD. But our authorities are afraid of MCI.
With the advance of the modern age, a great revolution has taken place in the field of medical science, and in the discovery of diagnostic aids, methods, equipment, and in the introduction of highly sophisticated technology. So we need more innovative and sophisticated postgraduate degree courses and postgraduate diploma courses in Homoeopathy and the curriculum shall be competency based.
We are requesting our BoG o start new and innovative PG Courses in including PG diploma programmes at the earliest.
Please file an RTI application regarding the same
More specialty fields are necessary for the progress of the science as well as homeopaths
