WISDOM 2014 workshop by Dr Parinaz Humranwala –a report

A one day workshop with Dr Parinaz Humranwala, a stalwart among contemporaries in the Homeopathic world, was successfully held On 2nd November 2014 at Eranakaulam, Kerala. The program was hosted by WISDOM HOMEOPATHY-an organization comprising of homeopaths, homeopathic medicine distributors, officials and those absorbed in the homeopathic system of treatment under consensus of ideas.
It is purely an academic platform. The program was ever memorable by the participation, involvement and interactions of practitioners, interns, students and teachers of various homeopathic medical colleges in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, which made it a south India event in every sense.
Dr Parinaz successfully led the workshop lively and elaborate with multimedia presentations and interactive sessions. The scope of TEMPRAZ – the expert system she developed was well presented and its utility was exemplified.
The program was chaired by Dr Abraham P E, one among the pioneers in integrated medicine in India and an expert in Holistic management of Allergic disorders and immunology. He gave an overview of the present medical care systems and the need of embracing integrated medicine to help the people get lasting cure with least damage to the body. He also shared his experiences in managing allergic conditions in holistic and integrated manner.
Dr. Ravi M Nair, former Adviser to Govt of India (Homeopathy) and President of TCMC – Homeopathy and CCH Member, inaugurated the function. The plight of homeopathy in Maharashtra due to allowing Homeopaths to prescribe Allopathic drugs was given special mention by him as his immense experience in policy making in this field foresee a danger in it. He also applauded Kerala Government’s recent intervention in public health by setting up an Integrated Hospital at PAMPA, Sabarimala for the pilgrims.
Dr Mansoor Ali delivered the keynote address and emphasized on the need of workshops like this and getting knowledge of newer tools to help in homeopathic practice. Being an associate Professor, at GHMC Calicut, his words on the need of having a constant learning approach for professional betterment was given much appreciation by the delegates.
The CLINIC APPRECIATION AWARD was bagged by Dr Arulmozhi MD, from Palani for her endeavor to make homeopathic practice standardized. Awards were also presented to KUHS Cultural fest winners of DPMHMC, Ernakulam.
Overall, the workshop on “The best prescription or the fittest Prescription?, Temperament gives the answer” was really informative and gave enough thought material for the delegates to workup and to make their prescriptions the best.
Business representatives from Hompath software, Pharmaceuticals like SBL, Trust Herbominerals, Similia, Bakson, Hering Pharma, Medical equipment companies – LIMAS Medical devices and others contributed in unison to the event and played key role to make the workshop a grand success.
