The World Homoeopathy Awareness Week was observed at The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College from 10th to 16th April ,2022 with a variety of Programmes. The Programmes as planned centered around creating awareness on Homoeopathy among the mass, Providing Patient care, organizing Health Checkup Camps, involving students in academic activities, conduction of Seminars & Panel Discussions with the Experts in the Field.
The Awareness Week commenced on 10th April, 2022 – on the birthday of Master Dr CFS Hahnemann, which is observed as World Homoeopathy Day. The Statue of Dr Hahnemann was garlanded by the Administrator – Prof (Dr) Rajat Chattopadhyay. This was followed by distribution of fruits among the IPD patients.
From 11th April to 13th April, 2022 – Departmental Seminars were conducted by all the 12 Departments of the College. The students presented on various topics, as assigned to them – under guidance of the faculty members.
On 16th April, 2022 – a day long programme was arranged in the College. Mr Shyamal Kr Mondal, Special Secretary, AYUSH Branch, Dept of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of WB visited the Hospital premises as well as the College and was satisfied with the health-related activities & services being provided by the College. Mr Shyamal Kr Mondal, Special Secretary, also graced the occasion as Chief Guest. After the welcome address by Prof (Dr) Rajat Chattopadhyay, Mr Shyamal Kr Mondal gave a brief speech that involved on the plannings of the Govt for the development of the Homoeopathy in the state.
This was followed by a short Documentary on Dr Hahnemann’s Life & works with scientific evidence of Homoeopathy as per Research findings & explanations given by great Scientists, Panel Discussion on the topic ‘Homoeopathy – Current Trend & Future’& dance performance by the students.
The Post Lunch session begun with a Quiz programme conducted by Prof (Dr) Kaushik D Das on General Knowledge & Current affairs related to Homoeopathy. This was followed by a Drama on Dr Hahnemann’s Life performed by the students under direction of Dr Navin Kr Singh, Lecturer of the Institute.
In the end – Prof (Dr) Kisor Kr Naskar declared the Vote of Thanks & mentioned the role of everyone – The Teaching Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff, Hospital Staff, Students, Interns, PGTs in the successful completion of the whole programme.
The whole programme on 16th April was excellently anchored by Ashmita Saha, Riyanka Khan & Iqra Siddiqui, students of the Institute.
